The 172 rolls over even without a joystick so it's NOT
a joystick config problem.

Take off with the keyboard.
Establish level flight at 3000 AGL with full power.
Now press 5 on the numpad to center the controls.
She'll roll over to a bank angle of about 70 degrees
and spiral all the way down till she's a smoking hole.
