It's really easy to find the problem if you read closely!

/dev/input/js0

Added permissions. Now it works!

Just have to get the proper bindings. But I can figure that out!

Thanks for the help which was not so much how to use Linux as how to read! :)

Yes, but when you re-read my message, you see that I wrote /dev/input/js0. ^^^^^

It's nice that you are trying not to bother us with boring details, but it's
really hard to find the cause for your problem in this information vacuum. :-) Please post the output of all of these commands:


 $ ls -l /dev/input/js0

 $ groups                   (at least the relevant part of it: the js group)

 $ strace -fF -eopen js_demo /dev/input/js0

m.
