Heh ... yes. I'm definitely expecting too much from a users list. Where I learned "the internet" one would have been skinned alive for these "sacrilegs". And it's still that way on many. That's somehow burned into my brain. > The HTML leaves me baffled, for even I know that and do not use HTML in my > mail settings - microsoft rich text - It's all MICROS~1's failure, actually. They have HTML turned on by default (making people send their messages twice in one email without reason), and they put the cursor on top, inviting people to write there. MICROS~1's explanation was, that they are doing that so people can go from top down removing things they don't want to quote and write beneath the quoted text. Oh, sure. :-} > P.S: Never mind the overreacting, nothing like stupid users to get one mad, > I know that, besides when making a mistake you must be able to take the > critics. That's true for the developers list. But the users list should be more tolerant. And it *is* more tolerant. Just I am not. :-) One day, I'll write that clever mail filter that throws HTML away. Just not sure how I'll get it to fix top-posting ... m. Standard signature from one of the above mentioned lists/groups: -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail? _______________________________________________ Flightgear-users mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-users 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
