No experience with that stick in particular, but IME the order of loading the joystick port driver (ns558 in my case) and ALSA matters. I have to have ns558 (and possibly analog) loaded first, or I get problems. A few more details would maybe be helpful - how did you compile support for your joystick - all modular or not etc... The error message above suggests that you've added an (invalid) option to the snd_via82xx module (I can see why, from the howto you were following). However, "modinfo snd_via82xx" says... parmtype: joystick:array of bool parm: joystick:Enable joystick. (VT82C686x only) So unless you have that particular chipset you shouldn't need any option (joystick-wise) to snd_via82xx - and if you do, it should be "joystick" not "joystick_port". I doubt it's doing any actual harm though. AJ All I loaded as a module was the "soundcard". Otherwise all were loaded into the kernel. localhost masse # lspci -v | grep -i audio 0000:00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50), so I assume I don't have that chipset. However I have now loaded the module 'modprobe snd_via82xx", and it gives the same error as I told in my first post. I have also tried 'modprobe snd_via82xx joystick=1' _______________________________________________ Flightgear-users mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-users 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
