Sorry I can't help on this one. I have started in mid air with fixed
wing aircraft. The paramter was -vc=70 (This is in knots). Otherwise
FlightGear starts the cessna with the engine off, you then have to get
the engine started and pull out of the dive. Not fun.

Neil, 

I did a quick Google search for FlightGear "flight plan" and someone
asked the same thing earlier this year on this list. I suggest
flightplanner on sourceforge.net could be worth while. If you figure it
out, let me know.
