Hi Frederic Bouvier,
there has been a long discussion with one FlighGear user who had the
following problem:
...
We do a have big problem with the computer that FG/Atlas and FGTools is
running on. Now, every time it is booted a new folder called "Program" is
created and sits on the desk top, with all the PNGs in it. Something is
causing this to happen, instead of rendering the maps in the data\atlas
folder, as that folder continues to remain empty.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
There is a little "debug" output in my FlightGearTools prg. and I asked the
user to send a screenshot so that I could either see his inputs and the output
of FlightGearTools.
It was obvious that he had selected the path to FlightGear and it was
"C:\Program Files\FlightGear".
The parameter output of FGTools was "...." "--fg-root=C:\Program Files\F..."
"--fg-scenery=C\Program Files\F..." "--atlas=C:\Program Files\F.." "...
Obviously the output of the created maps got not to C:\Program Files but to
C:\Program\.. (although the user writes something of desktop).
After the user changed the Path FlightGear (no whitespaces anymore) he wrote:
As I write I have followed your instructions. It all now directly
C:\FlightGear etc. ...
...I can see in the folder C:\FlightGear\data\Atlas PNG files being created!!!
Wow! Has
it done it? This then will take some time and I will let you know if it
works out.

As a result of this discussion I recommended NOT to use whitespaces in the
pathes.
If you tell me it works under Win32 with whitespaces I have to correct my
opinion as
Now, for you, as you are pretty sure that this is not possible, I ruined my
H:\FlightGear98
folder by renaming it H:\Flight Gear98, set all pathes in FlightGearTools
(debug output
clearly "xxx=H:\Flight Gear98\.." and ran a short map procedure.
I got a lot!!! of error messages in the map window and after finishing the
process
I had a new folder H:\Flight with a lot of nearly black *.png files in it.
After my opinion you are absolutly wrong. What do you say?
Regards
Georg

The problem is not really here. When Map is space-aware ( and CVS version is
because I already tested and made the required changes to CVS, didn't remember
if it was before or after 0.3.0 release - pretty sure the win32 build is ok ),
your script is definitively boggus because it doesn't use quotes and restrain
your potential users.
I guess you didn't even tried.
