I don't know why it's not starting for you, as what you describe sounds OK to me. Rather than all these obscure keypresses though, I _much_ prefer to use the clickable cockpit to start it. Adds a small but important amount of realism to the procedure, and helps one get familiar with the cockpit. FWIW it does start with both magnetos switched on beforehand, assuming you've given it the correct amount of priming and have the throttle open a little (I haven't studied the Pilot's Notes for the authentic procedure, but it's available on the web for free.) You shouldn't need to index a cartridge if it's your first attempt at starting though. Also make sure you're holding the starter button in for long enough - IIRC up to about 20 seconds might be necessary IRL. The Seafire is slightly easier to start and is just as nice to fly - I'm not quite sure why, but I prefer it of the two, and it's easily my favourite prop-driven aircraft in FG... challenging, but extremely satisfying once you get it (mostly) under control :-) Cheers, AJ _______________________________________________ Flightgear-users mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-users 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
