Your Logitech Freedom 2.4 looks very much like my Logitech Extreme 3D PRO, and I guess the Extreme 3D config file will work for you if you can make that happen. I forgot how to do that but there are others here (except maybe on Christmas) who can tell how to find out the name string by which your joystick identifies itself.
