Georg...there was one other thing
I notice the FGTools window height is greater than "600", I assume this is
because you run your desktop at greater than 800x600 res. Would it be
possible to add a test that
IF window.height>screen.height THEN Window.VerticalScrollBars.enabled=true
?
cheers

Subject: [Flightgear-users] FGTools 1.3.18 f/b ...was New York Scenery not
quite right

Hi Georg,
Thanks for your FGTools update. I had some time to poke around and "play".
General Impressions;
FGTools is most probably the most useful tool since the propeller! ;-)
Specifics;
Under the "Main" tab the designation you give to the startup tabs seems
inconsistent;
The O/S (Other Stuff?? ;=>) tab is called "Div" on the tab...personally I
like "Other Stuff" !
For processes that may take a long time I either use a progress bar or
change the mouse pointer to HourGlass or both... this relates the Calc Tile
functionality that for both ICAO and Lat/Long seems to take a while. This
could be due to a number of local influences; slow PC, not all the scenery
installed...
Special Param -- HELP: All possible parameter ... ERROR: HelpFile not
found
The HELP buttons for Map, Atlas work ok.
The saving of various special parameters files is a very good idea. :-)))
I'll experiment with the placing of models this afternoon and give you some
feedback when I have something to say.
I do have some OT subjects I'd like to discuss...OK to email you off list?
Cheers

I would still like to verify that my work is bug free so I can store, at
least the formula, away for future reference.
I can see that by using your FGTools I should be able to pick any airport
out of apt.da and verify my formula using FGTools. Is this correct or
will I still need the relevant scenery tiles installed?
Hi Dene,
it should work with every airport which is in the apt.dat file.
If you have the scenery installed and set the pathes you'll get not only
the data (index, path, filename ...) but also the content of the specific
*.stg file shows up in the memo-box at the bottom (to edit it or to add
models or ...).
If you don't have the specific scenery installed you get the data but
naturally not the content of the *.stg file!
At least that is as it should work - many downloads, no feedback. So I can
only guess that it works, may be it does not and the people just put it
into waste. People seem to be very short of time not to give a very short
feedback to the developer! Just try it.
Regards
Georg
