Hi, I am somewhat confused how to use new objects for a given 10 degree chunk.
SHARED vs STATIC model means a generic reusable one vs a unique object like Arc De Triomphe? I will need to download that chunk's data. That's a given. Where to unpack it is not clear, but from the tar file I should be able to figure it out. Will I also need to download "shared models" tagged as '*REQUIRED*'. I guess the answer is yes as this may be the generic collection like square buildings, tanks masts etc. Shoul I unpack all under $FG_ROOT/Scenery, or will I have my own personal added scenery directory so that if I update the FG data, new added models are not lost. Melchior had a mini-howto on making a multi-directory Scenery PATH, but I am not clear of loading rules if a tile exists in the first element of the path but it has only newly added objects, all the objects in the second element of the PATH should still be available, right? Any additional clarification will be much appreciated.
