Into your home dir:

  $HOME/.fgfsrc  ==  ~/.fgfsrc

proper syntax for file.

One regular fgfs command line argument per line, including the '--'.
Example:

--fg-root=/foo/bar
--enable-real-weather-fetch
--prop:sim/gui/current-style=1
--config=/home/foo/.fgfs/preferences.xml

See  $ fgfs --verbose --help  for all available options. The --prop
argument can set any property value.
