I'm finding this *really* hard going, partly becasue the person who did the concorde is obviously not a native English speaker; also he/she doesn't explain things sufficiently. Yes, I know it's free and i shouldn't grumble --- if you contact me i'll re-write your stuff, where relevant in understandable English.
HERE IS an example from concorde-real-sound.xml: <quote> Since this file is not GPL, you must download and install yourself the sounds (without renaming) : - con1 (internal idle). - con2 (internal takeoff). - con3 (internal cruise). - con5 (external nozzle). - con7 (external reheat). - rumblex (reverse). See also comments in Concorde-sound.xml (level of common sounds is identical). TO DO : ===== - one cannot include sounds in a common file. <end quote> WELL, I downloaded the files con1.wav, etc. Placed them where they should be according to your xml file. I get no sound. I then tried modifying the default concorde sound.xml to point to these new wav files. that didn't work. I then copied the wav files into the folder which has all the other sounds and renamed file references in the xml config. That didn't work. SO, when you say "install yourself the sounds" = (in English) "install these *.wav files yourself"[?] WHERE exactly? Do your .xml files need to be adjusted/altered? *PLUS* could you please please please assist for this win user and show me how i can get the fuel tanks full and working properly. As i saud in a previous post, there is no way to set sin/presets/fuel to 1 in file > browse internal properties BECAUSE (1) there is no fuel setting there and (2) no means in the VERY RUDIMENTARY GUI provided to do so (AFAICT). Again, I do appreciate the fantastic stuff you've done, but if this program (as a whole) is not really for windows users, then please let me know. i'm wasting hours of time just ot get BASIC things working -- like fuel tanks and concorde sounds! Again if you, the concorde author, would like me to help by re-writing stuff in better English, i'd be pleased to do so if you could help me out here ;-) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
