I have confirmed that removing these place holders stops the *flashing*
animation from working.
I have concerns now that this may rely on an *undocumented* feature of the
simgear parser i'm using ( that which came out wth the win32 098a binary).
I would appreciate someone that's using 09.10 or CVS to confirm that this
indeed works in the *latest and greatest* before I publish it in the updated
scenery.

What are these for? They don't make much sense to me. I think you
can safely let those away, without seeing any difference.
