Thanks for all the help, but i'm still a bit puzzled:
So, the airports are stored in 1. in the "Scenery" folder, where LHTA is present (Atlas showing the airport proves this) and 2. in the "apt.dat.gz" file. If what i gathered is right, the problem is the absence of LHTA in this file. Now i might be a moron but

$ zgrep LHTA apt.dat.gz
1        526 1 0 LHTA Taszar

should mean that LHTA is in apt.dat.gz . I also found the airport in the file with a text editor (with all the details of the airport). I got a new version DAFIF, archived it and, of course, Fgfs still can't find the airport -- not by starting there, nor when flying to the long/lat coords. of the airport.
