Hi all, With Mechiors new UFO tool in 09.10 model placement is no longer solely a devel topic....all users can place models to enhance their flying experience... even if you're on pre 09.10, Georg's FGTools has been refined so model placement is so easy..... hence the main point;
all users should be regularly browsing Jon Stockills FGFSDB( http://fgfsdb.stockill.org/models.php ), what has prompted this is my latest browse and the new models available.... big kudos to Bertrand Augras, Emmanuel Baranger and Fred Bouvier .... their new imports from X-Plane are a great addition. One change I would like to see that might make it easier for users to select and ulitiumately contribute, is a models front page that instead of the current detailed 10 thumbnails per page has, say a 9x12 matrix of smaller thumbnails...(this is merely a suggested improvement from my point of view, not a critisism!!). With a bit of practice of placing static models, placing appropriately liveried aircraft at an airport is a breeze.... buildings, radio towers even boats can be done in your sleep. All though no expert, I'm very happy to help people with the experience I have gained.
