And glxinfo and glxgears, I usually let its fps stabilize, then maximize its window and let it stabilize there too. > http://www.langside.org.uk/flightgear/Xorg.0.log ..the (WW)'s suggests the radeon driver sees your 9550 as a 9600 and that you have some "experimental" compile time stuff disabled, knowing the X lot's carefulness the way I do*, I'd try a new cvs co and enable it all and see what happens, but if you wanna be careful, enable the new stuff step by step. ..fwiw, my 128bit Sapphire Radeon 9250 128MB is seen as a 9200PRO and sits in an 1xagp slot on an Epox MVP3G2 sporting an AMD K6-2 450MHz and 384MB on Debian Sid with X at [EMAIL PROTECTED], running FG at 1920x1440x24bpp @ 5fps. (Ok, I've seen below 1fps but I've also seen 18fps.) And, no, FG screen size has _no_ impact on my framerates. :o) ..so when somebody tells me X.org has room for improvement, I go "Ok, show me." :o) ..*I have half a dozen ATI 3D Rage IIC AGP that I offered for whatever experimental stunts needed to do DRI and 6xFG on them, no triangulation hw on them or some such, I was told, so I finally offered them for New Years Eve firework coder stunts. _No_ takers. ;o) > http://www.langside.org.uk/flightgear/xorg.conf -- ..med vennlig hilsen = with Kind Regards from Arnt... ;o) ...with a number of polar bear hunters in his ancestry... Scenarios always come in sets of three: best case, worst case, and just in case. _______________________________________________ Flightgear-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/flightgear-users
