That's the beauty of Linux, there is almost always help available, google and ask in forums is the key. When I have a problem that no one else has, I know it's something extraneous on my system causing it. It takes a while longer to get to know Linux if you don't come from a Unix background and the best approach is to repeat often "I know jack about Linux" regularly if your background is Windows.
