Well in the case of the 727 they had both the stall warning and the
overspeed
warning going off at the same time so what do you beleave.That the stall
warning
is correct and lower the nose and risk ripping the aircraft apart with
overspeed or
that the ASI is correct and continue to pull the nose up making a worse
situation
untill, in a tail engined aircraft,you enter what is called a super stall
for which the
pilot has only one recourse and that is to stick his head between his legs
and kiss
his a---- goodbye.In this case the pilots choose the later which cost them
there
lives.
