first, what should be better than a written user handbook for those who cannot read and understand English and want to save a lot of time by getting a step for step introduction. But the author is calling it the *official* !!! user handbook .. and this is not true and illegal (if Curtis has not given him the right to do so). So it should be discussed how to proceed. Best way would be after my opinion to tell the publisher/author to stop this with the next release/reprint of the book. But generally the advantage of having such a book for FlightGear is big, so there should not be any aggressive way to handle this. I doubt the author/publisher will get rich with this book :-), it is aimed to a very small group on a local market (most user of OpenSource software will try to get the info via Internet).
