I use Atlas running in a seperate window to track my progress. The San Fran
area has the color charts, but the rest of the 'world' has intersections and
navaids (I think it even has ILS). The only drawback is it doesn't show
Victor or Jet routes. I haven't had the time lately, but I downloaded the
source file and was going to modify it to show V-routes - I use FG for my
IFR proficiency too :) I have been searching online for either ARINC files
or something that defines all the navaids & intersections of a victor
airway. Just haven't had the luck esp. since the NGA classified DAFIF as
'sensitive'.
One of my projects I am trying to get too are to develop a GUI on a home
network that displays FG info on another computer and can throw failures and
track progress on an approach plate overlay (creating an Instructor station)
- just like the Big Boy sims do! Big dreams...just need the time!
