You might be interested to know that FlightGear has some (extremely) 
limited support for airways. Off the top of my head, the relevant data 
are in data/Navaids/awy.dat, and the code to parse this file is in 
src/Navaids/awynet.[ch]xx

The code currently doesn't do much aside from reading the data and 
parsing the airway structures. I have some experimental code in the AI 
system that tries to use the airway system to auto route AI aircraft, 
but this is currently deactivated.
