Yeah, yeah, I know bigger is better, but I hate > spending an extra few hundred dollars for something that I don't need. personally if I could lay my hands on a 512MByte graphics card, I go for it. It might not me needed now....but my belief is that it'll be needed sooner rather than later. > > Also, has anyone tried FG in Vista yet? I'm not real keen on the idea > of getting a Vista machine and being a guinea pig for Bill Gates. hell why not dump windows and go for a linux variant.... with OpenOfffice etc i really don't see the reason to stay with windows (and i'm a died in the wall windows user (not supporter)... The only program I can't find a linux version for is MSVB6 and I suspect that's because i'm not looking in the right places...everything I use is either available in a linux version (Firefox, Thunderbird, Apache, OpenOffice, etc & FGFS, FGSD,FGTOOLs,ATLAS,MAP,TaxiDraw etc(of course) or runs under Java.... I won't make the swap cold turkey...but if I had the opportunity to run them side by side...I'd jump at it
