Donn,

I got the previous reported  the "GCC-C++ " version-number (4.1.3-29) as
YAST showed me.
As a real Linux n00b I did not know the command you used.

Now when I tried
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> g++ --version
g++ (GCC) 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
it is obvious that I have the same version installed as you have.
And this works here.
