Since I am new to FightGear & just started to build head cvs (OSG) I
thought I would check FG's memory footprint while running. This check
is not exactly definitive but its interesting.

Im running Fedora Core 6 with 1 Gig of RAM. My cpu is a core-duo
(E6600). On a flight in the c172p from Seattle to Portland (~1-1/2 hrs)
I find the following RAM memory footprint for fgfs:

Seattle on runway 276 MiB
5 min in flight 293 MiB
30 min in flight 315 MiB
60 min in flight 369 MiB
75 min in flight 393 MiB
90 min in flight 471 MiB
land in Portland 568 MiB

The "eye candy" I was using is as follows:

--disable-clouds3d
--enable-distance-attenuation
--shading-smooth
--enable-skyblend
--fog-nicest
--enable-enhanced-lighting

I am surprised at the memory creep. I know that at about 750 MiB FG &
my system becomes unresponsive & my system begins to swap to disk. Does
this mean that I will get about 2 hours max flight time??
