I d/l'ed all of the pre1 files, and successfully compiled them on an Fedora-4 (yes, I know it's old) x86_64 system. fgfs runs, but I've noticed the following anomalies.
I mainly use fgfs for ILS practice (have my own startup script that starts in the air usually inbound outside the FAF; sometimes outbound near the FAF to practice a procedure turn). In 0.9.10 I usually used the c310-ifr, but it is not available in pre1. I've tried pre1 with the following aircraft with these results: --aircraft=pa28-161 works fine; air-start is ok --aircraft=SenecaII-jsbsim or --aircraft=pa24-250 fgfs runs, but aircrafts's engines are off, so the flight is somewhat short. --aircraft=SenecaII-yasim YASim SOLUTION FAILURE: Solution failed to converge after 10000 iterations --aircraft=c172p-2dpanel air start is fine, but seems to need 20deg right bank to track ils (which is surprisingly like the approach I did into St. Augustine two weeks ago in an Arrow in which case I needed to keep a 20deg wind correction angle to track the ILS, but that was because tropical storm Andrea was forming off to my right; it ended up being an ILS 31 circle-to-land 2, and I never made it to the Bahamas :-( , but I digress). So, my question is this: without the c310-ifr, it seems that I should try SenecaII-jsbsim or pa24-250, but neither of them are able to start in the air with the engines running. I will try to find why that is so, if I knew where to look.
