Ok downloaded and installed plib package which seems to satisify simgear but now I am getting the following in make
/SimGear-0.3.11-pre1/simgear/sound/openal_test1.cxx:120: undefined reference to `alutCreateBufferFromFile' I notice this problem was reported a few days back but a resolution was not posted I have libalut and libalut-dev installed.
