Just a note: Look in google-earth/resources/flightsim/

You can easily add startup locations in
google-earth/resources/flightsim/flightsim.ini 

This game will use joysticks, look in
google-earth/resources/flightsim/controller/ for a list. Edit
generic.ini or the named joystick file for your joystick

There is a folder for keyboard setup, and it looks like you can
edit/create aircraft and edit/create huds as well.
