FG's internal data isn't really stored in a file but a lot of it is 
loaded in at start-up from two files in the FG root directory:- 
options.xml & preferences.xml

There is also a lot of data in the tree that is only generated once 
FG is running, so you won't find everything in those two files.

The initial settings from those two files may also be modified 
according to any personal settings you might use or the aircraft 
you're flying.
