Hi John, The base package simply needs to be untarred/unzipped to anywhere in your directory tree. fgfs needs this data, so launch fgfs with the option --fg-root=/path/to/data. e.g. --fg-root=/home/ioannis/flightgear/data btw, this and other commonly used options can be stored in a config file, typically ~/.fgfsrc read by fgfs at launch. hth, Drew ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
