You seem to have a broken version of FreeGLUT, search the -devel list for more info (way back). Install a different GLUT or compile FlightGear against SDL instead. Configure FlightGear: ./configure --disable-glut --enable-sdl ... If you are building the new OpenSceneGraph based FlightGear/CVS then you can use --enable-osgviewer instead.
