I'm not sure if this is the right list to ask, so feel free to point me
in the right direction if it's not.

I have built the Custom Scenery version of Terragear and have had
success generating scenery for Venezuela using SRTM3, VMAP0 and my
airport database for all the SV* and some SK*, SB*, TT* and TN*
airports. I'm working with the w060n00 to w080n10 chunks.

I want to use GSHHS, so I downloaded gshhs 1.11 and tried to use the
gshhs program from Terragear as described in the README.txt included
with the sources. I'm running something like

$ cd /home/emhn/Scenery
$ gshhs data/gshhs/gshhs_f.b work/GSHHS-LandMass 1

it runs for about 10 seconds but does not generate _anything_ in
work/GSHHS-LandMass. I tried with versions 1.10 and 1.11 of the GSHHS
data, and the _f, _h and _i data sets, to no avail. I only get messages
similar to

SPECIAL HANDLING ANTARTICA LOOP AROUND!
k = 2244806  lon = -34.3963  last_lon = 178.553

This is on a GNU/Linux Debian 4.0r4 i386 up to date. Terragear was built
from the CS repository patching the Makefile.am files just to fix the
library names and locations of a proper Debian system, and as far as I
can tell all the utilities work fine, given the fact that I've been
using scenery generated with them... it's only GSHHS that doesn't work.

BTW, if any Debian user is interested in the terragear-cs and taxidraw
packages, drop me a note to point you to an URL where you can download
them.

Finally, is there an automatic way to merge my custom-apt.dat with
apt.dat so my SV* versions override those in apt.dat?
