agree, i have never seen anyone being laughed af cause of a crash.
I know i would react quite strong if i saw it or in my case heard it  
cause i use speach for nearly anything i do in respect to flightgear.
One day i am about too land  at ksfo in my storch my older sister  
comes in... sees me and say softly" hey sandi you know you look  
totally scared right ?" i apply" yeah i am landing ! and hate stalling!"
Point being skilled or not skilled maybe it is your voice or something  
else you are conscious about that is how it is:) if you smile too the  
world around you usually it will smile back.

again agree.
But i think that will come. But yes many might be very anxious about  
using their voices. For one reason or another.
