Hello,
        Sounds very likely that the nouveau driver is interfering. If you 
haven't run into it, mjmwired.net/resources/ provides papers on 
customizing the various versions of Fedora, a link to Nvidia install, 
which include a couple of means to make sure the proper driver is used.
