I don't speak authoritatively, but as I recall the last time I tried it
with FlightGear it didn't work at all.  It works well enough to run your 3d
& graphic effects for your gnome desktop, but I'm pretty sure the nouveau
developers do not test against flightgear.  I continue to install the
nvidia drivers from nvidia.com on all my linux boxes (that have nvidia
hardware.)
