Hi Paul,

The reason that you are only getting negative numbers is that you are using
NAT. It seems like there is a fix for that, try looking through the list
archives for NAT discussions.

As far as breaking down the traffic, I'm not clear on the network layout.
Perhaps you could give us more information on that. (You can also e-mail me
directly if you do not want to share the information publicly.)

Subject: [Flow-tools] NetFlow on a 7600 - separating traffic

Hey guys.

I've been stumbling through the HOWTO to get Cflow/RRDTool/flow-tools to
work together on my netflow traffic. I have some questions, because all I
was able to come up with was an RRDTool graph in the negative numbers(?!)
I'm hoping if I post my goal here, maybe someone can give me a "push" out of
the mud I'm in.

- I want to track traffic from a customer who's connected directly to our
7600 via fiber. They have a class B, say 1.1.0.0/16.
- We want to be able to track how much of their traffic comes to us or our
customers at 2.2.0.0/16 and not charge them for it. Conversely, we want to
charge them for any OTHER traffic - as it will obviously then be using our
Internet bandwidth.

- which interfaces do I have to configure NetFlow on for this to work?
- should I be trying to accomplish this goal with these software packages?
- does anyone have a sample config with something similar?

Thanks,

Paul
