[STR New] Link: http://www.fltk.org/str.php?L2086 Version: 1.3-current Chasing up on Greg's earlier suggestion (that '\n' were probably a bad idea in the menu string) I've posted a revised version that constructs the menu a bit more sensibly. (Posted as bad-menu-3.cxx above.) However, that still manifests the fault as before, so despite the fact that my code was bad, that doesn't seem to be the underlying issue... Next, I tried Greg's recipe for properly installing Chinese text support on XP. I think that Greg reports that for him that entirley fixed the problem. For me, it means I no longer have to explicitly set a Chinese capable font (XP seems to pick one for me - but it seems to be substantially slower doing so than when I set a font explicitly.) But... I can still produce the failure mode, so maybe setting up Windows properly to support the languages used is not the whole story?
