There is a good chance that the Synaptec Driver sends XEvents in a different order or without a delay, maybe even giving them the same time stamp. I have not looked into this code in FLTK in ages... . It would probably be interesting to log the events surrounding the mouse click that launches the dialog box. I believe there are several standard XEvent loggers out there? I am sorry that this keeps you from your real work!
