Is this a Fl_Text_Display problem when displaying plain ascii, or is it related to using UTF-8, as in http://www.fltk.org/str.php?L2158 ? If the latter, there's a one-line fix described in the STR which has yet to be verified by someone who really knows the UTF-8 handling. If not, then good luck debugging FL_Text_Display and internals, as this has to be some of the most obscure recursive code I've ever seen.
