Yeah, I tested this on 1.3 before posting here - 1.3 has worked perfectly. I
figured this would be the first port of call, because I've been watching some
of the window manager bugs with a mixture of bemusement and annoyance at the
new "features".

I haven't got a different box to test it on at the moment (I'm recommissioning
another box but that won't be up 'til probably the weekend), but I've got the
same bug under the VirtualMachine running Win7, so I don't know that it's a WM
issue - AFAIK the graphics are also virtualised there, not sent to my X server.
I don't know much about VMs though, so I could be wrong.

Yeah. This box only has lame onboard graphics (....it wasn't initially wanted
for it's graphics abilities....), so I don't know if it has any of the nvidia
or ati drivers on it anyway.
I'll upgrade it in the near future and note the effects at that point; it's
very likely it could be an issue with 9.10.
