Simply sending FL_CLOSE is probably not the correct event.

Documentation of FL/Enumerations.H [1] says:
<quote>
FL_CLOSE

The user clicked the close button of a window.

This event is used internally only to trigger the callback of Fl_Window
derived classed. The default callback closes the window calling
Fl_Window::hide().
</quote>

I have no idea what would be the correct behavior, though.
