        I'd suggest 1.3.

        Are you trying to build new code (then go with 1.3)
        or are you somehow working with some existing project
        that (mistakenly) went with 2.x before it released?

        Did DD eventually start using FLTK for its internal tools?

        I left DD soon after Titanic and Dante's Peak wrapped,
        which was right around when Bill was talking about taking
        FLTK public (1997 or so), so I didn't get to see it gain
        acceptance internally. I think I was still using Xforms
        at that time, and others were using either TCL/TK or
        SGI's RapidApp/Motif.
