    One thing I should add; I /think/ the fltk 1.1.6 utf8
does not support Mac OSX. It only supports X windows and Windows IIRC.

I'm not sure if there's a technical reason for that, or if he
(Jean-Marc) simply didn't have an OSX box available when making the mods.
    I'm thinking the latter.

FWIW, he has fltk utf8 under SVN control here:
    http://developer.berlios.de/svn/?group_id=4036

..so it can be easily managed for updates as a separate branch.

Although I frequent the FLTK newsgroups and consider myself proficient
at using FLTK1, I draw the line at the low level window manager stuff..
(that's why I use FLTK! ;) I know very little about native WIN32 and
Mac OSX drawing routines and fonts, so I'm a poor choice for taking
on a merge, otherwise I would do it myself.
