You're saying OSX is broken, too.  That's not what is supposed to 
happen.  If you click on the desktop, Stan's second window should 
receive a PUSH and release event.  No other process should receive that 
event.  It shouldn't matter where the cursor is.

I run Stan's program from a terminal, and it prints "PUSH" and "RELEASE" 
only when I click inside one of his Windows.

So, at least Linux is consistent with OSX.  Both are broken.
