I think that's part of the problem; there seems some doubt as to what actually is correct. I *think* what Stan was reporting was an observed difference on his SunOS setup, wherein he got different behaviour from his test program depending on whether he used a Double window or a Single window. I think Stan assumed the Double window behaviour was aberrant - but from observing the behaviour on OSX, it may be that the Single window behaviour he observed was wrong. Or not. Or I may be miss interpreting his posting. What do folk think grab() should do in this case? Is grab() supposed to allow your window to consume events from anywhere in the screen, or only locally? And if from anywhere (as in Stan's single window case) does that mean that OSX is broken? Or...
