Well, I'm not sure it is quite that simple, is it? I thought font
rendering under Quickdraw is not necessarily anti-aliased.

Font rendering (indeed *all* rendering) under Quartz is anti-aliased
however, so if you need to be sure of getting anti-aliased fonts, Quartz
is the way to go for sure.
