We even added a section to the fltk-1.3.x documentation about it.
Click on http://www.fltk.org/doc-1.3/index.html
then go to the "FLTK Basics" chapter, and scroll down to
the "Compiling Programs with Standard Compilers"
and "Compiling Programs with Makefiles" sections.

/me Wonders whether we have to add a section about CMake
