Heh, yeah. That hasn't done much either. :P

The text->buffer()->remove(0, INT_MAX); looks like it _does_ clear everything.
But then it looks like it's put straight back.

I can tarball the source files if you'd like, but i dont see that getting far.
The part that doesn't make any sense to me is that the snippets that've been 
posted have worked perfectly.
Yet my code doesn't, even when i rip the majority of the posted code straight 
to it.
