> And so the language war begins... .
Is there a reason these fluid code generator hooks
couldn't be language agnostic?
I could see FLTK providing sample hook programs
written in some popular programming language (like C++! ;)
to show how it works.
Then advanced users wanting to write their own code gen
hooks could use that for reference, using any language
they like, including lua/perl/python/ruby/etc
Would hate to tie FLTK to any scripting languages to free
it of dependencies. And as light as e.g. lua might be,
wouldn't want to bring it on board just for this.
The fact fluid's c++ code is open means it can be modified
in a language we're all familiar with and runs fast.
Not sure what's to gain by using a scripting language
instead of C++ in this instance.
I must be missing something.
