I got the touchpad thing for my new Mac (rather than the Wacom tablet I
usually use) and it works pretty well.
I'm not *that* keen on using a mouse, generally...

I get exposed to touch-screens a lot at work though, so may be biased. 
That's a weird thing though, if I've been doing a lot of work on our
consoles, I find myself poking the screen of my regular PC quite a
lot...

But I've played with the iPad and it works better than I expected, and I
even got a smartphone, and I'm *old-school*.
