Oh, is this just a question asking what fonts are available? I thought it was asking how to ascertain what fonts the default desktop is actually using (e.g. so the app could make itself look "the same" at runtime...) If I just want to browse the fonts on a system, I use the fltk font test examples (font.exe and utf8.exe on a WinXX system) as they show which fonts are available to fltk, and in what styles... If invoked from a console, the utf8 demo will also print to stdout the "fltk name" of any selected font, for ease of use in your code later (this works on linux and on WinXX in an Msys shell, it might not work from a DOS cmd shell because of the odd way cmd.exe drops stdout when a non-console app is invoked...)
